Tables of yarn consumption in meters from thread thickness
Yarn consumption tables
When calculating the required amount of yarn, two main units of measurement are used: the mass of the skein and the length of the thread in the skein (meter). Both of these values, as a rule, are indicated by manufacturers on labels. Our experience has shown that it is more accurate to navigate by footage. So, for example, a women's sweater from 44 to 52 sizes, medium length and with sleeves knitted with knitting needles with a dense front stitch will take 1100-1300 meters of yarn. If the sweater size is more than 52, you will need 200 meters more yarn for each subsequent size. That is, for a size 54 sweater, you need about 1200 + 200 + 200 = 1600 meters. Also throw another 200-300 meters if a "braid" pattern is planned in the product.
If openwork knitting is planned, multiply the initial amount of yarn by 1.3-1.4. If you plan to knit an English elastic, multiply the initial amount of yarn by 1.5-1.6. A poncho uses a little more yarn than a sweater (20-25%). Also more yarn is usually required to knit a men's sweater. In addition, men have longer arms than women, that is, more yarn is used for the sleeves. By the way, about 1/3 of the total yarn volume is spent on sleeves. That is, you can take 30% less yarn for a vest than for a sweater. If the product is crocheted, then the yarn will be required 2 times more than knitting. So, a simple summer sarafan (up to size 48) takes 2500-3000 meters of yarn. The fluffier (airy) yarn is and the weaker it is twisted, the less it is consumed. For example, a skein of yarn weighs 50 grams, and the length of the thread in a skein is 550 meters (this is a thin and fluffy thread). Thus, for a women's sweater of size 46, knitted in one thread, 2-3 skeins are enough, depending on the planned type of knitting. At the same time, thicker yarn, in which the weight of a skein is 50 g and a length of 200 m, will take about 7 skeins for a similar product. As you can see, in the second variant, the thread consumption is higher. However, you will knit a sweater from thick yarn faster than from more economical, but thin ones. So everything has its pros and cons.
The question of which viruses constantly live in the human body has been relevant for specialists for many years. So, to the previously known information, new data are periodically added that reveal the characteristics of individual microorganisms, and also talk about how certain types of bacteria can affect human health.
It is noted that for many years, specialists from the field of biology have carried out various kinds of scientific research, according to the results of which people were able to learn a lot about their own organisms. So, according to officially proven information, there are tens of trillions of living cells inside a person. Moreover, only 1/10 of them are a component of the organism itself. Most of the cells inside the human body are various bacteria, viruses, microbes, fungi and many others.
In modern times, it has become known that various microorganisms inhabit not only the internal human organs. They also live on the skin, in the area of the hairline. It is noted that experts in our time were also able to find out what the total weight of microorganisms living in the human body is. According to the results of the studies conducted, in an adult, it is equal to one - approximately three kilograms.
Research of modern specialists also says that there are about 21 thousand genes in the human body. At the same time, 8 million genes are not taken into account, which form other microorganisms that inhabit the body and internal organs. It is noted that many of them help the human body to function properly.
According to the statements of the researchers, most of the microorganisms that inhabit the human body quite strongly affect the quality, as well as the way of life of people, their perception of the world, thoughts, and many other things. So, it is bacteria that are associated with the process of obesity, diabetes, allergies, and many other diseases.
It is noted that a fairly large number of various kinds of viruses constantly live in the human body. Many of them are not what they are represented in modern society. There are a great many types of viruses, and most of them have nothing to do with seasonal diseases. Some microorganisms really harm a person and all the processes taking place in him. However, this happens in a different way.
It is customary among scientists to isolate a certain number of viruses living in the human body:
It is noted that many other types of viruses can also be permanently present in the human body, and then, in the event of certain health problems, disappear in the course of treatment.
