After all, his life also began with horses. In the army, he oversaw the maintenance of regimental horses, feeding and shoeing them.

He took the yellow background in honor of the color of the coat of arms of the city of Modena, the hometown of Enzo Ferrari. The upper part of the badge is crowned with the coat of arms of Italy, the abbreviation S. was applied at the bottom. Home »The world's first professional electric racing scooter, designed specifically for the eSkootr Championship, is introduced

After months of announcements, intriguing all fans of the fashionable means of personal electric micromobility, the creators of the new eSkootr Championship ™ have officially presented their racing car - the S1-X electric scooter.

Race car design and technology

Visually, the racing shell looks very impressive. In front, there is an aerodynamic body kit, a powerful platform, under which the battery pack is hidden, a wide and comfortable back stop. This is no longer just a fast electric scooter, it is a high-tech machine created by engineers from Williams Advanced Engineering, which will participate in the first races of the series, which will start this 2021. Most of the elements are made of carbon fiber, which makes the scooter lightweight. It is capable of speeds over 100 km / h.

The S1-X features racing car design and manufacturing techniques, including a carbon fiber chassis frame, eco-friendly natural fiber bodywork and custom CNC-machined aluminum front and rear suspension adjustments.

Battery & Drivetrain

The S1-X is powered by a lithium-ion battery that powers two 6kW motors, one for each wheel. So it's also an all-wheel drive electric scooter. Just like a regular electric road scooter, the rider controls the power delivery using a conventional throttle on the thumb stick. However, the torque transmission system balances the power between the front and rear wheels to enhance high speed stability. But the rider can turn it off with the accelerate button to instantly add energy during races.

The ESkootr battery has a capacity of 1.5 kWh, which is enough to compete in short but dynamic eSkootr Championship races. The maximum weight of the racing scooter is 35 kg, and the total power of both motors is 16 hp. ... preseason tests will begin in early summer. Race calendar and line-ups will be announced at a later date.

Alex Wurz, former Formula 1 driver and co-creator of the eSkootr Championship, “We set aggressive goals for design, performance and handling. A long way has gone from the first idea to our S1-X model. We're just getting started, but we've already set some pretty aggressive design, performance and handling parameters for the S1-X. We took a very close look at front fork stiffness, rear wheel compliance, kinematics, technology packaging, and drivetrain design. Of course, the speed of our eSkootr on straights and corners is inextricably linked to the design of the track and the format of the race - so stay tuned, there is more to come. ”

Khrag Sargsyan, CEO of eSkootr Championship ™, “Over the past year we have been developing a series of prototype eSkootr electric racing scooters, so it’s a great feeling - the S1-X has finally been introduced. What's especially nice is how many different elements have successfully combined to make this all happen - we are introducing new technologies at every stage of the process. We already know the S1-X is an extremely fast and fun car, and now we want as many riders as possible to try it as we advance to our first race. "

eSkootr Championship Test Rider Dakota "Kota" Schuez, “I'm so proud to help develop S1-X - it was a real race. Even when we started running the first prototype, the undercarriage felt good; this gave us the confidence to push the boundaries. Further tests really showed what this first model is capable of - the races will be very fast, competitive and fun. Racing is a real achievement - a physical sport that requires speed and precision. I think it will be incredible. "

Lucas di Grassi, Formula E Driver, eSkootr Championship ™ Sustainability Ambassador, “Sport with micro mobility is a step in a new direction for motorsport, and I definitely think we have achieved a lot with the design of our first eSkootr. The goal now is to bring this to the people: teams and participants, athletes and riders, fans and families in cities around the world. This is truly the start of an exciting new chapter in how we can create the most affordable, sustainable motorsport on the planet and make it work for everyone. ”

Try to imagine yourself driving a similar car on the highway ring track, and rushing at a speed of over 100 km / h! Just do not try to repeat this in a normal urban setting. For these races, as in any technical wheeled sport, you need special protective equipment, an equipped track with safety zones, and of course the presence of marshals and a medical crew to provide assistance if necessary.

And such # races will be held this spring in Moscow, and then they will be distributed throughout Russia, thanks to the Association for the Development of Sports Electric Transport (ASET).

In Moscow, races on electric scooters, as well as on other types of electric cars, from electric skate to go-karting and motorcycles, will be held on May 29 as part of ElectroFest2021, on the tracks of the Moscow Technical Sports Center in Pechatniki. Follow our publications. In the near future, we, and the IAP "Green Point of Start", are also a participant in this process, we will make an appropriate announcement and tell you about the upcoming # ElectroFest2021

Regional races are also planned, which we will also inform you about.
