Potato tubers are planted in a furrow, done in advance using a walk-behind tractor. Thus, first with its help, you need to plow the garden, then on the back of the walk-behind tractor you need to attach a trailed potato planter, place tubers in its bunker and plant potatoes.

It is impossible to simultaneously cut a furrow and plant tubers with a potato planter using an ordinary household walk-behind tractor. Such operations can only be performed by a powerful diesel walk-behind tractor or a mini-tractor.

• Reel - provides bending to the executive organ of plant stems for cutting. Upright plants are treated with a paddle reel, a rake eccentric reel is used for lodged crops. The spring elements of the unit enter the stale stem mass, ensuring their lifting and holding them during cutting. To lift tangled stalks of leguminous and cereal crops for mowing, picking drums are used.
• Conveying devices with a canvas or belt-slat type belt convey the crop to the ejection port. In cases of direct combining, the stalks enter the thresher's receiving device.
• Control engine. External hydraulic cylinders regulate the cutting height of the stems within 10-35 cm and the height of the reel installation. The drive of the executive bodies of the header and conveyors receives rotation from the PTO of the self-propelled chassis.

The roller trailed header has a design similar to the mounted unit, but the hitch unit is replaced by a trailed mechanism with a spherical hinge, and the trailing shoes are replaced by wheels.

Attachments work on the front in front of the self-propelled chassis, trailed ones are towed from the side of the tractor.

How does the header work?

The units are mounted on a self-propelled chassis (combine harvester) or attached to wheeled tractors.

During the work process, the header platform is supported by shoes or wheels. The tines (longitudinal strips) of the reel direct the stems, collected in a bunch by dividers, to the cutting device and the cut mass is placed on transport belts, from which it is dumped onto the stubble in the form of a roll.

A single roll is formed in one pass, doubled in two passes.

Low pressure wheels have a collapsible disc. It is equipped with a device that prevents the tire from jumping off the rim. Tires are soft, flexible and shock absorbent. Thanks to these wheels, the car moves smoothly on a relief surface.

In addition to a positive attitude, contributing to the successful solution of the task, the owner of the converted containers should pay attention to their preliminary preparation. This procedure is straightforward, with a few basic steps:

• elimination of dirt, as well as decorative coatings and drawings (if any);
• washing and thoroughly drying the selected containers;
• surface treatment of products with sandpaper.

The last action helps to better fix decorative materials, minimizing the likelihood of delamination, swelling and cracking.

In addition, some experts advise covering the surface of the flower container with acrylic paint. It is desirable that its tone matches well with the colors of the materials used to decorate the pot.
