Edible mushrooms, containing biologically valuable trace elements, essential amino acids and vitamins, are not only searched for in the forests, relying on luck and the instinct of a mushroom picker. Some species can be grown at home by yourself, fully controlling the ripening process. So, for example, properly organized growing of oyster mushrooms at home allows you to get consistently high mushroom yields in any season.
Oyster mushrooms are well stored at a low temperature - one to two months at 2-4º, but during transportation, due to fragility, they need careful packaging and careful handling with a minimum of shifting.
On the basis of natural forms, strains of oyster mushrooms have been obtained, combining special resistance to diseases with abundant harvests when growing at home, on waste from forestry and agriculture - sawdust, straw, cake.
The strain of oyster mushroom IBK 453 Pleurotus ostreatus with a gray cap up to 12 cm in size is distinguished by high and uniform yield, undemanding to the intensity of illumination. It grows well on agricultural waste, crushed to a size of 2-4 cm - wheat straw, sunflower husk, corn cobs, cotton cake. This nutritious base should not only be crushed, but also moisturized by 70-75%. The fungus grows well at a temperature of 24-26º, at 30º its development stops, and in an even warmer environment the oyster mushroom root dies. If the mycelium is added in an amount of 3-5% of the substrate mass, complete settlement takes 12-15 days. At a temperature of 15-20º and an air humidity of 90%, the oyster mushroom fruiting bodies ripen in another two weeks, that is, in total, one month after the mycelium is applied.
The strain of oyster mushroom IBK 716 Pleurotus ostreatus, which has gray or brownish caps up to 12 cm in size, a shortened stem and high-density pulp, is perfectly stored frozen. It is based on high-quality wheat straw, as well as its mixtures with alfalfa stalks, corn rods or sunflower husks. In this case, all components are crushed to a fraction of 2-4 cm. It is recommended to keep the moisture content of the substrate within 70-75%. The mycelium of this oyster mushroom is added in the amount of 5% of the mass of the prepared nutritive base. At 25º, full settlement takes 15-17 days. Then the temperature is lowered to 12-14º and the air humidity is maintained at 90%. When fruiting bodies begin to form, the air humidity is reduced to 80%. The crop is removed one month after sowing the mycelium.
This method, suitable for a personal backyard, vegetable garden or dacha, reproduces the natural growth conditions of oyster mushrooms. Logs of maple, chestnut, ash, beech, poplar, etc., or old tree stumps of the same species are sown with mycelium from the last decade of March to mid-July. When sowing in early spring, the future oyster mushroom plantation on logs is placed in a cellar, barn or underground. When grown in summer, it is placed on the most shady and sheltered area from the wind.
The wood must be healthy, free of mold and mildew. Dry logs 30 cm long and 20-30 cm in diameter are soaked or watered abundantly. Oyster mushroom mycelium is applied to the cuts, as well as to the prepared cuts and holes on the side surfaces at the rate of 2 cylinders of compost mycelium or 1 liter of grain per 0.1 m 3 of wood.
Decks, depending on their number, are fixed vertically, stacked or stacked in a pyramid. To maintain high humidity, the future oyster mushroom plantation is covered with plastic wrap, burlap, tarpaulin. The last two coating materials are regularly wetted. The temperature in the shelter should not exceed 25-27º - this is especially carefully monitored under the polyethylene.
12-15 days after sowing with oyster mushroom, the logs are dug into a permanent place, placing them at a distance of at least 30 cm from each other and deepening by 10 cm.The land around is regularly watered so that 1 m 2 has 3 liters of water. Green plants planted in between will contribute to the mushroom harvest - it can be grown as early as September-October if the logs were dug in June-July.
It seems that there is nothing complicated about it, because you can take any ironing board: if only you like it and be compact, which is very important in the conditions of small city apartments.
But this is not at all the case, because the ironing board must be like it and fit in size, and must have some technical characteristics.
The weaker sex (girls) uses the ironing board more often. Therefore, in order to move the board around the apartment, fold and unfold a traditional ironing board, it should not be too heavy so that the girl can cope with this task herself.
