Description and features of the S-20 profiled sheet - width and height

The characteristics of the C20 profiled sheet allow it to be used in some cases for arranging roofs, although it belongs to the group of wall materials. Like other types of corrugated and trapezoidal flooring, it is made from thin sheets of iron rolled on special machines. Due to this, the products acquire increased rigidity in the vertical direction. The material tolerates temperature drops and precipitation well, it is easily cut to the required dimensions. When purchasing flooring for construction needs, it is necessary to study the dimensions of the C20 profiled sheet.

Characteristics and scope

Requirements for the manufacture of material and its characteristics are regulated by Gosstandart and technical specifications. They prescribe what dimensions C20 corrugated board should have.

The steel used for the production of sheets is galvanized. Some brands have a colored coating, which also has protective properties and increases the service life of the metal profile. Usually products come in bright juicy or dark colors. Other options are more often made to order.

They differ in the shape and dimensions of the profile, as well as in the presence of certain structural elements (grooves, additional stiffeners).

C20 refers to wall options, as indicated by the letter C in the marking. However, the technical characteristics bring it closer to universal models. Its wave height is higher than that of most other wall products, which, combined with sufficient rigidity allows you to use it for the installation of unloaded roofs.

The lathing for such a roof must be sufficiently tight. When using bearing grades, its step is 1-3 meters, depending on the parameters of a particular product. On low-slope roofs (less than 15 degrees), it is made solid. With a more pronounced slope, the maximum distance between the elements of the sheathing under the C20 flooring is 0.4 meters.

The material is suitable for arranging roofs in private construction, for utility and warehouse premises, some industrial buildings, shopping complexes.

Usually, products with a polymer coating are used for roofs - they last longer and have an attractive appearance. The use of galvanized sheet without a protective layer is more often practiced for temporary structures. At its budgetary price, it can last 10-15 years without losing quality when transporting modules. This allows you to quickly recoup the cost of construction work. Products with a polymer layer can be used for up to 35 years.

Since the sheets are long, the roof area can be covered by minimizing the number of joints. Thanks to this, the structure is sealed and the cost of insulating the lumens is reduced.
