When Peeter wakes up, he decides to be nice and his friends don't mind. And how to object if other dolls were not provided with opening mouths? And their eyes do not blink. It seems that this is something like a purgatory, where the soul of Peeter is serving a sentence for bad deeds. And the real boy was left lying, crashed on the jam.
Didactics works even less in the "sort of" instructive "Tearaway" (1975). Adults walk along the path and only the boy walks along the lawn. A janitor hangs up a poster: "He who walks on the grass is a pig." The boy ignores the warning and becomes a piglet. Changing the route to an acceptable one, turns into a human again.
Raamat does not teach in the spirit of "obey your elders" - we see that the path is paved with an illogical hook and the wisest thing is to really walk along the path through the grass, as a child does. A similar plot was in the satirical "Park" (1966) by Tuganov - the design bureau day and night works on the plan of the paths, but makes them not at all where it is convenient for the townspeople to walk, and the people walk on the lawn, breaking the system. But Raamat is not a fighter with the system, his boy is not some kind of pure soul or a ray of hope, he is as unsympathetic as all the characters in the cartoon. He has no ideals, he just wants to live comfortably as part of the system, and everyone wants it, even if it’s all ugly and stupid.
