Today I want to share with you a simple master class that will help you create decorative plates with your own hands for a festive table. I'll call it My Lemon Plates.
Before my birthday, I decided to go shopping in search of cute plates with the image of lemons, on which I could serve treats for the guests. I went to all the shops, but returned home empty-handed. Time passed, and my budget no longer allowed me to buy new plates. And then I came across simple glass plates that I bought a long time ago. And then an idea came to my mind! Why not make my own decorative plates !?
Note: Do not wash decorative plates under running water. Wipe the inside with a damp cloth. If you want your plates to last longer, you can paint the back with decoupage varnish.
Put lemon and lemon sweets on your plates and they'll be the hit of your party!
Wonderful do-it-yourself decorative paper plates with which you can decorate a festive table!
Papier-mâché is a wonderful technique that helps in decorating the interior and creating unusual and beautiful things of various shapes. A hand-made and painted plate is a great gift idea and room decoration. With the help of old newspapers, toilet paper and glue, real masterpieces for home comfort are formed.
The master class will tell you how to create a plate and other kitchen utensils step by step using papier-mâché.
Depending on the shape of the plate you want to get, glue the inside or outside of the ceramic model. However, it is easier to peel off the adhesive layers from the outside than from the inside.
Instead of PVA, paste is also used: for 500 ml of water, take 3 tablespoons of flour or starch and cook for 30 minutes. The resulting material is used as PVA:
Other dishes are served on the same principle. It is enough to choose a suitable ceramic or glass product (preferably without relief and irregularities). Remember, the more complex the shape and deeper the dishes, the more difficult it is to remove the workpiece from it. Simply taking out a cup with a handle from the layers of paper will not work. To do this, cut the papier-mâché evenly with a clerical knife and connect the parts together using strips of paper (seams are glued on the inside and outside). See the diagrams for how to cut and join together the parts of a jug or teapot:
The other method does not require a ready-made plate or bowl. A cup for small things and fruits is made with the help of a balloon, which will allow the master to choose the appropriate diameter and depth of the future container himself.

It can be crafted from unnecessary items that are available at home.
