Information about this event was published at the end of last year, but I think it still needs to be reported, albeit with a delay. The official position of the developers is as follows: an unnamed partner of BitBox, who once acted as an investor and, probably, an aggregator of user payments, announced the termination of cooperation with the company and withholding all collected funds. BitBox also reported about the generally unfair actions of the said company and the impossibility of resolving the issue legally due to the extreme cost and complexity of this procedure (the case falls under the jurisdiction of a US court). In any case, it looks like the situation with the game is really confusing and hardly subject to resolution.

Although the rights to the product itself remain directly with the developers, the cessation of the receipt of funds deprived them of the ability to maintain the servers, which became the most critical event in the life of the game, especially against the background of the relatively low popularity of the project among the mass player, which, probably meant not the highest profitability of the project, even in its best years: on the day of the publication of information about the closure of the game, the daily peak of users did not exceed 800 people.
