I never took history as a subject in school. I was more your drama and literature kind of girl. But as I travel the world, I’m in awe of the depth and history of the places I visit. Having recently watched a documentary on Pompei and then physically being there was absolutely incredible. Best history class I’ve ever had!
I love getting to a destination and walking along pathways that I have no idea where they go (not dodgy looking ones though! 😂). Having no idea if at the end there’s going to be a rainbow or a dead end. It’s all part of the fun. Like this pathway in Capri which I found to be full of beautiful houses and incredible stonework. Sometimes getting “lost” can open up the door for incredible moments.
Positano was just as beautiful as I imagined. I can’t decide what I loved more. The drive up from Sant’agata along the Amalfi Coast, sun baking (which I hadn’t done since Australia!) or the lemon sorbet.... hmmm any in particular take your fancy??
Do you ever visit a place and think how can this be real? There’s so much beauty in the world and I’m so thankful that I can go from one country to the next and experience it all. Not only that, but I love meeting the locals and seeing their way of life. Discovering what’s important to them and learning their daily routines. Capri was no different.
This is how I like my mornings. Relaxed whilst enjoying my surroundings. No alarm clocks, no schedule, just waking up at my own leisure and embracing life ✨
Because all great meals include pizza 💕If you’re ever in SantAgata, Italy then Mimi’s is the place to visit for a slice of deliciousness 🍕
