Hey there beautiful people. I’m Nerissa and welcome to my Wonderland.

In 2016 I left the sunny beaches of Australia behind me and now I’m travelling the world for my own wanderlust and of course – the desserts!

When I’m not travelling I’m either glued to my latest book purchase, writing or daydreaming of one day meeting BEYONCE… Yep, that woman is my idol!

I’m a big believer that it’s possible to achieve your dreams no matter how big or small. So whatever it is, I say go for it!

Everyone, meet Bulli. I was so fortunate to get up close to this beautiful creature as he casually came by to have a drink and a cool down. I’ll never forget the moment I was eating breakfast and literally dropped my spoon when the sound of elephant footsteps in the surrounding bush alerted me to his presence. These beautiful kids were the highlight of my trip 💕Their positive energy radiated light and I literally couldn’t stop smiling! The warmth they gave to complete strangers, to me, just warmed my heart. When I say the struggle was real to leave them, it was real. My visit to the Townships in South Africa, was not only educational but honestly one of the best day trips I have ever done on my travels abroad. Most families here, continue to struggle for decent housing and to obtain basic necessities. I met the kindest women who invited me into her home with open arms (which was no bigger than the size of a standard bedroom) and she wasn’t even living there alone. She was sharing the space with three other families. Sixteen people in total, were sharing this one single room! It really puts in perspective how much we have and can easily take for granted. Even though she had very little, in space and belongings, she was full of joy and had a real sense of community about her. Safari Post Part One! I’m so excited to share some of the amazing animals I came across on my game drives. It was a truly incredible experience to see them in their natural habitats and it’s something I’ll never forget 😍 First up we have a baby rhino, giraffe, springbok, hippos and more!! Now this is what I call glamping! I had THE MOST incredible time here at @kuganha, it was honestly the highlight of my trip. Not only because the space was stunning and we had elephants come by each morning! But because the food was out of this world, our safaris were more than I could have ever asked for and I met some amazing people who made my stay that much more enjoyable. Thank you to @riska.vdm & @marene.jvr for creating mouth watering dishes, and @nessi_tjie for being the best ranger ever.
