What and how to feed nutria at home

Many do not dare to start nutria, fearing that they will not be able to properly formulate a diet for them. This is a bias. Feeding nutria is no more difficult than feeding rabbits and other pets. Our article is about what and how to feed nutria at home But, of course, there are certain rules and recipes for nutria of a certain age and physiological phase.

Some nutrevody advise to feed the wards only with compound feed, others with natural feed. So which one is right?

In fact, both the first and second points of view have the right to life. But we would recommend combination feeding.

We wrote about how to prepare compound feed at home in the previous article - Cooking compound feed for nutria with our own hands. In addition to it, root crops, hay, cereals, fresh grass or hay should be added to the diet of animals. In a word, feeding nutria at home provides for its diversity. The animal must receive the basic elements in sufficient quantities.

Home Feeding Nutria

Some breeders recommend the following scheme:

In addition to compound feed, animals are given: grain - legumes, meal; flour - fish or meat and bone, hay or grass meal; freshly cut grass of cereals and legumes, salt and root crops.

With such a diet, animals will receive all the necessary elements and, as a result, grow well and gain weight.

Many nutritionists organize food in such a way that it pays off after selling the skins, and 5-9 kilograms of meat are received as a net profit.

Approximately the same results should be sought when organizing nutrition of nutria. Perhaps the example given to us is somewhat ideal and for beginners the costs will be slightly higher, but over time you can reach such indicators.

Catching crayfish at night is fraught with some difficulties and inconveniences, but when you do it, you will be rewarded with a great catch.

Probably not many people know, but crayfish are quite active at night and it is at this time that the catch can be quite decent.

Some raklovs prefer to catch crayfish in the morning (in addition to fishing), but most (and justifiably) start fishing in the evening and continue through the night. At this particular time, crayfish are most active and get out of their burrows to search for food. Crayfish catching late at night can be successful, but only if it is carried out with specially prepared gear. Fishing methods such as snorkeling and others in the dark are simply absurd. It is also difficult to catch them with a fishing rod, even if it is made specifically for catching crayfish.

Bonfire Fishing

At night, many crayfish very often use the natural "craving" of crayfish for light, namely, for the light from a fire. Fishing with this method is very simple and consists in the fact that crayfish crawling out into the bright light of a fire, you just need to collect and put in a cage or basket. However, in this case, it is necessary to act as carefully as possible: the cancer is taken by the tail or back, so that it does not have the ability to defend itself with pincers. In addition, everyone knows that crayfish move very quickly in the water and back, as a result of this, even the slightest noise will make him first alert, and then quickly run away. At the same time, it was noticed that with each movement of the tail, the cancer was removed by about twenty centimeters. If you are not an experienced crayfish, then collect crayfish only with gloves on your hands. Sometimes, if a fire is made in a good place, crayfish crawl out directly onto land. In such a situation, a landing net may be needed.

Some people prefer to act in a slightly different way. The fire is not made, and the light source is a flashlight for the light, which crayfish crawl with no less eagerness than to the light of the fire. This method is quite effective, but is prohibited in some regions.

Campfire Video

This video shows how crayfish climb onto the fire and it remains only to light them with a flashlight to collect them by hand.

How to catch crayfish at night with crayfish

At night, special designs are used to catch crayfish, which are called crayfish or crustaceans. The device of crayfish is quite simple and many people make them independently about their varieties and how to make them ourselves, we already wrote in the article: How to catch crayfish with crayfish and how to make them yourself.

Now more and more owners of their own plots are raising quail and the main problem they face is the arrangement of housing for their feathered wards. In this article, we propose a project of a metal cage for quails, which you can do with your own hands literally in a day and at the same time without spending a lot of money.

Cell description

Our proposed project is designed for the maintenance of two hundred quails. A big plus of such a cage is that it does not take up much space and can be installed in any convenient place.

Estimated height is about 2 m, width is about 1 m. The project envisages branches, the depth of which is 0.5 m. Each branch is designed for 40 birds. On the front panel there are compartments for eggs and feeders. This is done for ease of service. If you plan to keep fewer birds, then the size should naturally be smaller.

Materials and tools required

A big plus of our project is that we don't need expensive materials and special tools. This quail cage is made from what is in almost any private household or can be purchased for little money at the nearest hardware store.

To assemble a metal quail cage with your own hands, you will need the following materials:

    profile, which holds drywall 3m. - thirteen stripes;

  • to make a feeder you need a drywall profile. It is better to take a profile wider, it is best suited with a section of 8 cm;
  • galvanized for pallets of cages and floors;
  • ordinary plastic two-liter bottles;
  • screws, which will be the structure is fixed.
  • coil of wire.
